Meet Dr. Jacquie

Meet Jacqueline Fulop-Goodling, D.M.D., P.C.

Dr. Jacquie Smiles started her career in orthodontics/dentistry at Boston University and after graduation became the first female and youngest Director of B.U.’s Predoctoral Orthodontic Department. She is now part of the Invisalign prestigious faculty department, this means she is among one of the most experienced Invisalign providers in the world, offering her patients the best quality of care. “Being a faculty member and brand ambassador for Invisalign was easy and fulfilling because I was able to discuss, teach and have brainstorming sessions with doctors and students all over the U.S. & rest of the world. It’s something that comes naturally to me and therefore never consider is working,” she says. Dr. Jacquie received this acknowledgment through hard work, perseverance, and expanding her vision, which is to always push the limits on what to achieve next. Dr. Jacquie says, “My favorite patients are the ones with smiles referred to me by other doctors asking me to treat them with Invisalign. It is a great compliment to have my colleagues believe in me and entrust their patients with me, my office and my team.”

She is a VIP Platinum Invisalign Provider and has been recognized as a top provider every year since 2003. In September 2005, Dr. Jacquie Smiles became Invisalign’s Spokesperson for a hygiene campaign. In 2009, she became a Spokesperson for Invisalign Teen treatment which was featured on the Tyra Bank’s show.

After being the Director of the Pre-doctoral Orthodontic Department at Boston University, Dr. Jacquie returned to New York to be with her family. Over the years, she opened several offices in Manhattan, Long Island, and in upstate NY and New Jersey. Dr. Jacquie enjoys the teaching aspect and says, “To teach is to learn twice. Being a professor while having a clinical practice is having the best of both worlds because you can take real-life experiences and apply them to your curriculum.”

Since then, Dr. Jacquie Smiles presented a four-year double-blind study on identical twins, comparing one twin being treated with braces and the other with Invisalign. As an Invisalign professor, Dr. Jacquie teaches and certifies students and orthodontic residents in many of our dental schools and universities in the U.S. and Canada. She has also taught over 14,000 doctors, students and their teams in multiple areas of orthodontics throughout the world including North and South America, Europe, Asia, The Caribbean, and the Middle East.

Dr. Jacquie’s most rewarding experience is one that she says she witnesses all the time when she removes a patient’s braces or finalizes their Invisalign orthodontic treatment. At the beginning of their treatment, when Dr. Jacquie evaluates a patient for the first time, she says that many patients don’t reveal their true self. Often they are covering their mouth and hiding their smile. Dr. Jacquie says, “The end of treatment is always the most rewarding when I witness how my patients sit up a little taller in my dental chair and become more confident, radiant and expressive. This feeling simply never gets old!” This moment is what Dr. Jacquie says is the most rewarding feeling.

Dr. Jacquie’s mission is to brighten the world one smile at a time. She achieves this through educating her patients and creating her signature broad smile design. Dr. Jacquie says, “What I do with my patients is the perfect balance between science and art.” She explains to her patients the science behind what is occurring throughout their treatment, while still showing the beauty of the individual in each case she creates.

When Dr. Jacquie is not busy being an orthodontist or creating multiple dental related patents, she is giving back to the community. She’s been part of Jorge Posada’s former craniosynostosis awareness foundation, autism awareness and the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers run. Annually, Dr. Jacquie attends and participates in the Tunnel to Towers run through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel which is an event commemorating a firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11th and other heroes we lost that day. It helps build homes for wounded vets that fight for us and allow us to do what we love; for Dr. Jacquie that is creating beautiful smiles.

Testimonials / Reviews

We’d Love To Hear From You!

After months of deliberation and years of crooked teeth, Dr Jackie finally convinced me to just throw down, and get invisalign. This has honestly been the best decision i've ever made, with my teeth looking incredible in just 16 months. While I still have a bit left to do(about 6 months), you can tell the difference from the first month, and people haven't stopped commenting on how nice my teeth look. In addition to the nice teeth, the staff here are great, and all know their stuff. Abby, Marie, and Dr. Jackie all play their part, and are all knowledgeable and skilled professionals who clearly take pride in their work. They conveniently have a satellite office in my hometown of Monroe, NY, and are very flexible with scheduling appointments and working around my schedule now that i've moved to Boston. I honestly went from being beyond ashamed of my smile (and VERY worried since I was nearing the end of my college career when I started) to loving taking pictures. If you're on the fence - do it, and theres no better place than Dr. Jackie's office.

-Arthur W.

We have both our daughters going through the process with Dr. Jackie and her team. The results we have seen with their smiles is amazing. We absolutely made the best choice going with Dr. Jackie and her team. From the consult through all of the different phases Dr. Jackie treated our girls like family. Her assistants are always great, friendly and kind. They are patient and explain every step of the process. The office staff put a great financing package together and always go out of their way to work with us. If you need braces don't go anywhere else. Go to the best to see Dr. Jackie and her team.

-Jeff P
